Summary

  • God will shake the earth.

Details and/or Comments

  • This is also mentioned in Hebrews 12:26. The kingdom we are receiving will NOT be shaken-away/apart. (Everything else will be destroyed.) The book of Revelation also describes similar events.
  • The previous verses (context):
v. 1-5 - About the mountain of the Lord (in the last days): Many will come to it; there will be peace.
v. 6-9 - The land is full of evil/idolatry; so the people will be brought low and not be forgiven.
v. 10-18 - Go hide in terror! All the exalted will be brought low; only God will remain exalted, and there will be NO idols left.
