Joshua (Bible)

This book is a record of the way that God fulfilled the promises he made to Israel, regarding the land. By the end of the book, it can be said, "Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers" (Joshua 21:43) and "Nothing failed of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel. All came to pass" (Joshua 21:45).

(In Judges, the book that comes after Joshua, we read about how the people failed to obtain all that God had given them. But it was not God who failed; it was the people who sinned and failed.)
