Where Jesus got this information... from the Old Testament!

These verses were originally in Hebrew; the New Testament verses were in Greek. In Mark and Luke, the concept of "strength" is included in the first command, to convey to non-Jews (the primary recipients of those books) the full meaning of the Hebrew concept. In Matthew, which was written originally to Jews, it was not needed. (The Jews would have already understood it.)
