Scripture Pages that Link to Here

2 Peter 3:1-7

A reference to a historical fact that mockers would willfully forget: 1) events of creation (v. 5), and 2) the Flood (v. 6).
2Pe 3:6 - ... by [the word of God]], the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.

Psalm 24:1-10

(Comment) Though most of the water under the earth is now in the oceans (because of the Flood), even today, there is water under the earth's surface (mostly in porous rock).

Psalm 33:1-22

(comment) "The deeps" - This may include the depths of the visible waters (now called the seas and oceans); but it probably also includes the underground water sources, such as aquifers (and any other ways the water may be stored). It was this underground water that would have been the source of the "fountains of the deep" that burst forth at the time of the Flood.

Psalm 90:10

In Moses' day: "The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years..." (Psa 90:10) Contrast this with what things were like before the Flood...
