When comparing the numbers of days given for various events (such as "water continuing for 150 days) to the age of Noah at various events, the numbers correlate perfectly, if a "month" is defined as "30 days" and a year as "360 days."

With this definition, we get: 377 days = 1 year & 17 days. This is the number of days that Noah was in the ark.

It's possible (though it cannot be confirmed) that this may have been the actual number of days in a year prior to the Flood. A catastrophe that could totally devastate the entire earth could conceivably also influence the earth's orbit (thus, the time it takes to travel completely around the sun).

Note that this definition (month = 30 days / year = 360 days) is common to many events in prophecy, in both Old and New Testaments.
