- Gen 2:7 Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
- At the Flood, this was the group affected most by the waters, which Noah had to deal with. (Obviously, all other things were affected; but dealing with them wasn't Noah's responsibility.)
- Gen 6:17 I, even I, do bring the flood of waters on this earth, to destroy all flesh having the breath of life from under the sky. Everything that is in the earth will die.
There are many other passages which deal with this issue, and they will be added as the project progresses.
