Scripture Pages that Link to Here

Gen 2:7 Yahweh God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Also (There's also a relevant passage in Gen. 8 or 9... look for it later.)

Psalm 8:1-9

God has placed humans above the rest of the creatures he made, with the task of ruling over them, in God's behalf!

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22

Ecc 3:21 Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?"
Differences are hinted at; but the emphasis in this passage is that the living cannot see what happens to either after they die.

Ecclesiastes 12:7

Ecc 12:7 and the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.
