- God will oppose (and drive away) your enemies - Canaanites, etc. You must totally reject their gods, or they will lead you into sin.
Exodus 33 and 34 (selected verses)
- God will drive them out of the land. (List of nations included.)
- The huge people seen by the spies - they called them "Nephilim" probably meaning "giants," with emphasis on their size; also "sons of Anak."
- Described as "a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim."
