Three concepts that tend to be confused

  • Omniscience - God is all knowing.

*This page will probably be merged with various others.

God interacts with humans on two levels - 1) on the level of Creator, and 2) on our level (such as through Jesus Christ, etc. It is on the level of Creator that attributes such as omniscience have the greatest role.

  • There are verses that show instances in which Jesus was surprised or where he learned something (as he grew up).
  • However, there are also verses (such as in Genesis 3), in which God asks something for the people's sake, rather than for the need of gaining information.
