Psalm 72:1-20

The righteous king will... (Psa 72:4): He will judge the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break the oppressor in pieces. (See also v. 12-14.)

Exodus 3:1-8

Exo 3:7 Yahweh said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.
The issue has to do with the oppression and affliction that the Israelites experienced, at the hands of the brutal Egyptian taskmasters. It wasn't merely the fact that they were working for the Egyptians; rather, they were being abused by them. God opposes and condemns the mistreatment and abuse of humans, whether or not they are slaves.

Ecclesiastes 4:1-16

The horribleness of oppression - the oppressed have no power or comfort... just tears. How horrible is it? The dead (i.e., corpses) and the unborn (probably "un-conceived") are "happier," in the sense that they are experiencing less pain and sorrow!

Ecclesiastes 5:8-20

Don't be surprised when injustice and oppression happens. Everyone wants wealth (unless they are the few who have the contentment that God offers us), even if they nave to use unjust means to get it.

Isaiah 1:11-17

Isa 1:17 Learn to do well. Seek justice. Relieve the oppressed. Judge the fatherless. Plead for the widow."
Because they weren't doing these things, God was opposed to their religious activities.

Micah 2:1-5

Mic 2:1-2 - Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand. They covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
(Therefore, God will judge them - v. 3+.)

Isaiah 5:1-30

In Israel/Judah, God "...looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; for righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress (v. 7)."

Isaiah 10:1-23

Isa 10:1-2a - Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees; to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, ...
God would destroy the nation because of such sins.
