Listed as a subcategory under: Ecological Judgments and Insects and Similar Creatures.

Locusts are described as one of the "kinds" of creatures (Hebrew word, min). They are described as ceremonially "clean" creatures, and may be used as food. They are used by God as a means to judge the wicked; and are used symbolically to describe large masses of people, such as an invading army.
