- God's greatness goes beyond our ability to comprehend or know. And this fact should influence how we respond to him! (This focus is evident throughout the passage, especially at the beginning and end.)
- God's "name" - his fame, reputation and person - is "majestic throughout the earth" - whether or not people acknowledge it! (For that matter, his glory is so great that it is more than even the heavens can contain.)
- Because of his greatness, watch your attitude and your mouth!
- Ecc 5:1-2 - Guard your steps when you go to God's house; for to draw near to listen is better than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they don't know that they do evil. Don't be rash with your mouth, and don't let your heart be hasty to utter anything before God; for God is in heaven, and you on earth. Therefore let your words be few. ...
