- (1:18-19) "Your sons and your daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house, and behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young men, and they are dead. I alone have escaped to tell you."
-  Part of the description of the storm, a display of God's power. 
- The "breath of God" is described as the wind that sends forth the freezing rain/snow.
- Job 38:1 Then Yahweh answered Job out of the whirlwind, ...
 
- Various weather-related events - God providentially controls them all.

- God postponed the judgment that Israel deserved: Psa 78:39 He remembered that they were but flesh, a wind that passes away, and doesn't come again.
- Psa 104:3b-4 He (God) walks on the wings of the wind. He makes his messengers winds; his servants flames of fire.
- Life is characterized by a series of seemingly endless cycles. One of the examples is: Ecc 1:6 The wind goes toward the south, and turns around to the north. It turns around continually as it goes, and the wind returns again to its courses.
