A Few Comments About "Experiences" in a Christian's Life

Do not base your faith on experiences or circumstances in your life. People who do this tend to be unstable. Experiences come and go; good times are followed by not-so-good times. "Valleys" exist between the "mountaintops."

Your faith must be based on something objective - the Living Word of God (Hebrews 4:12). It is living and enduring, in contrast with the changing fortunes of "experience."

Submit your "experience" to the Word of God, rather than to "feelings." It is very easy for a person to become convinced (to "feel") that his experience is from God - even though, when compared to the Bible, it contradicts against everything God has ever said. History is full of examples of people who have done this. (Oh that we would learn from them, rather than repeating their mistakes!)

Do not live for experiences, but for loving and obeying God.
