The glory of God radiates from the faces of the righteous who have stood physically in his presence.

This happened to Moses, when he was in God's presence for 40 days (Exodus 34:29-32). In fact, when he came down off the mountain, the brightness of the glory frightened the people!

However, being a human still in a body affected by sin, the glory on Moses' face could not remain; and the radiance did eventually fade away. So he covered his face with a veil, to keep the people from seeing it fade (Exodus 34:33-35 and 2 Corinthians 3:13).

In eternity, with the effects of sin being forever removed, things will be different. Then, the radiance of God's glory will be permanent - and this is something we can look forward to (Daniel 12:3; Matthew 13:43).
