This is a broad category, including various means of ignoring or disregarding what God says. It may include mocking, or pretentious claims that they want to see God do something (when they are convinced that he won't), etc.

Scripture Pages that Link to Here

2 Peter 3:1-7

2Pe 3:3-4 - ...in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
They will mock Jesus' future coming. They will claim that everything goes on as it always has (with no outside intervention).

Isaiah 5:1-30

Isa 5:19 [They] say, "Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!"
Did they really want to see God at work? It wasn't that they expected God to do anything. It was more like a mockery of the prophet's claim that God was going to judge them (v. 12).
