Micah 7:13

Mic 7:13 Yet the land will be desolate because of those who dwell therein, for the fruit of their doings.
There are numerous passages in the Old Testament that connect the words "desolate" and "earth" (or "land"). Many of them describe environment-related devastation, emphasizing the removal of the people and the destruction of everything they have done - cities, farmlands, etc. Often, the land is described as becoming an uninhabited wilderness or wasteland.
