Why the Issue of Definitions?

For the world, the goal is to remove the Bible from meaningful life. This won't always be an openly-defined goal, but it is there, often as the foundational basis for everything else. Anyone who tries to include the Bible's perspective an the issue at hand, will normally be strongly opposed, verbally abused, and perhaps even discriminated against in some manner.

  • Many of the modern definition changes are a reflection of the post-modernistic hostility toward the God of the Bible (who claims to be the the Living, True and Only God), and toward absolute (unchanging, objective) truth.
  • Words may be redefined in ways that (by definition) exclude God. They may be define in a way that is incompatible with Scripture, or which makes the Bible's use of the word look "archaic," or "not relevant" to reality.
  • New words and concepts may be coined, which totally redefine concepts explained in the Bible; so that the words and concepts found in the Bible become relegated to the category of "meaningless" - or even "dangerous."
  • Even the connotations of words may be changed, when the "dictionary definition" remains the same.
