Many people think they can get away with sin, by saying something like, "I'm sorry," after they have committed the sin. Yet all sin has consequences.

(This page does not include irreversible consequences such as death.)

The people who refused to enter the land repented of their sin... But repentance (or remorse) DOES NOT CHANGE THE CONSEQUENCES. They would all die in the wilderness.


Numbers 20:2-12

Moses disobeyed God and struck the rock (for water), rather than just speaking to it (as God commanded). Because of this, Moses will not be allowed to enter the Promised Land.
