The consequences of a group's sin affects the whole group.

- The wicked nations in Canaan are stronger and mightier than Israel. But because of their extreme wickedness, God will destroy them and give the land to Israel.
- You must utterly destroy them (because they are irreversibly wicked), as well as all things related to their false gods. If you become like them, you will also have to be destroyed.
1 Kings 9:1-9 & 2 Chronicles 7:12-22
- If they abandoned the true God and went after fakes... God would remove them from the land.
- Collectively, they did this - leaders and people. Only a few were innocent, though (being part of the group) they had to share in the judgment.
