Deuteronomy 6:1-25

(After God has given you all the blessings of the land)... Deu 6:12 then beware lest you forget Yahweh, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Deu 6:14 You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you;


Deuteronomy 8:1-20

God is bringing you into a land of plenty. Don't forget (abandon) him and give yourselves the credit for all the good things you have received! If you do, he will remove you from the land (v. 19-20).


1 Samuel 12:16-25

Do not turn away from God, "for then would you go after vain things which can't profit nor deliver, for they are vain."
Also: 1Sa 12:25 "But if you shall still do wickedly, you shall be consumed, both you and your king."


Psalm 78:1-72

Ephraim turned from God, in spite of all the wonders he did in Egypt and in the wilderness.


Psalm 95:1-11

Israel abandoned the true God; therefore God abandoned them.
